The club has been exploring a move for the attacking midfielder for some time and talks are understood to be progressing with his current club, Napoli. The Blues are looking to secure the 24-year-old on loan for the season. Should their pursuit end in success then it would be the club’s fourth signing of the summer.‌Boosting Sean Dyche’s wide options has been the priority for the past month, with Everton having previously pursued deals for Yankuba Minteh, then of Newcastle United, and Jaden Philogene, then of Hull City. Both players secured moves elsewhere, however.READ MORE: Abdoulaye Doucoure makes prediction over two Everton transfers and new attacking wildcardREAD MORE: Everton get Kalvin Phillips transfer hope as Pep Guardiola shares update on Man City exits‌Liverpool Echo IconSign up to FREE email alerts from Everton FCSubscribeMore NewslettersWe use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and improve our understanding of you. More infoInterest in Lindstrom was stepped up as a result and the club is now hopeful talks will result in a deal in the coming days. Lindstrom only signed for Napoli last summer but has been made available following a difficult debut season in Serie A. The Denmark international did not record a league goal or assist, but his opportunities were severely limited as Napoli put up a disastrous title defence. Lindstrom had been an important player at Eintracht Frankfurt before his move to Italy, however, starting in the final as the club won the Europa League two years ago.Should the deal advance as expected, Lindstrom would follow the permanent signings of Tim Iroegbunam and Iliman Ndiaye and the loan deal that secured Jack Harrison’s return to the club from Leeds United.Follow Liverpool Echo:Facebook IconFacebookTwitter IconTwitterInstagram IconInstagram‌RECOMMENDED‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌Everton FC
